I created this site because I saw a need for one website with all the current information listed for daycares, mom's day out programs, preschools and private schools in local areas. I was looking for a Mom's Day Out program for my daughter and by the time I finished making calls to all the churches in town to find out their times, fees, curriculum, ages, etc I was exhausted. I even found myself calling the same place over and over again because I couldn't remember what each had to offer. Here is the information I have found for the local areas listed. If you find that any of my information is outdated or wrong, feel free to leave a comment.
Here's some Basic Information that I learned on my search:
Class A = There are a lot of difference between Class A & B, the most notable differences are that Class requires a daily attendance, including who signs the child in and out each day. Staff members are required to have Continuing Education hours each year. The Child to Staff ratio is smaller for each age group. Parents are not permitted to provide any snacks or meals except under specific conditions. Each center is required to follow the Child Care Food Program guidelines for meals and snacks.
You can see more of these differences at http://www.dss.state.la.us/assets/docs/searchable/OFS/Licensing/ClassAClassBDifferences.pdf
